A new face at the Bren Project

Everyone at the Bren Project is delighted to welcome Carol Wilson as our new Project-coordinator. Carol began working with us for 16 hours a week on the 24th May and she will be concentrating her efforts on working with Beneficiaries in the East of the County.

Carol has worked in the field of disability for over 25 years initially as a Special Needs Careers Adviser and more recently as a:

  • manager of a training unit for people with severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities
  • manager of the Equalities department at Salford University establishing services for disabled students
  • co-ordinator with the National Disability Team supporting disability related projects & undertaking disability related research projects

Carol also established a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme for 6 severely disabled young people with all 6 successfully completing the Award.
