The Bren Project provides tailored, one to one supported work experience placements for people with learning disabilities with the aim of helping them overcome barriers to workplace inclusion. The charity initially secured funding from a wide range of sources to run for an initial 12 months and this latest contribution from the St James’s Place Foundation will help with the year 2 project costs.
Peter Sackett, the Bren Project’s Charity Manager said ‘The charity offers people the chance to experience the real workplace in a supportive and encouraging environment. It's very difficult for people with learning disabilities to get a foot on the ladder with employers and our projects give people the chance to show what they can achieve’
